Constructed Portrait series is based up on the Parsons Sequence for Non -Modularity; a sequence of numbers designed to generate 20 blocks with non-combinational X Y Z values such that no rotation or stacking sequence yeilds the basic “post and lintel” condition fundamental to typical architectural tectonic systems.

Modularity yeilds structural pragmatism… That is to say, if the modularity is completely removed from a system, repeatable relationships between components are not possible, and every combination potentially yeilds a new result. So, a non-rational (non-modular) system does not yeild a syntactical expression of geometric language of combinatory results of parts within the system.

Non-modularity is designed intentionlly to give expression to the internal rational mechanisms of the builder. It is Architecture, as portraiture.
